About your new role…
We are seeking a Project Engineer for the installation of new production line equipment at our manufacturing operation located in Kewdale, WA. As the project engineer, you will lead site safety, contractor performance, quality, engagement and key reporting aspects of the project works, in addition this, the Project Engineer will be involved in discrete work packages for the project including design, scoping and procurement. This role will also assist in Business-as-Usual activities within the broader CCEP WA Engineering Projects Portfolio when needed. This role requires liaising closely with other CCEP project team members and site operations teams.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role.
What will you be doing?
- Project site safety
- Review of the project status while also identifying any challenges or risks to the project and reporting to the other Project Engineers as required
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the project aligns with concurrent projects and milestones align appropriately
- Working closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineers
- Preparing site reports and implementing and updating documentation as required, such as a site diary and incident reports
- Organizing and leading daily toolbox talks
- Registering new contractors on the site safety management system, conducting site inductions, and reviewing relevant contractor licenses and insurances
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
- Preparing and issuing work permits
- Directing on-site activities
- Reviewing work progress to ensure compliance with project management procedures, health and safety guidelines and quality requirements
- Coordinating labour activity on worksite and managing the overall site performance of building and construction processes, including liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Lead discrete work packages for the project including design, scoping and procurement.
- Assist in Business-as-Usual activities within the broader CCEP WA Engineering Projects Portfolio.
Let’s talk about you!
- Engineering degree
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to work effectively in a team with a focus on the broader business, taking into consideration the project requirements of others to ensure milestones align.
- Strong safety focused attitude and work-ethic
- Experience working in a FMCG or beverage industry environment is preferred
- Experience delivering large capital works projects ($10m+) in a brownfield environment
- Knowledge of Australian and WA safety compliance reporting and permit issuing
- Experience coordinating civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical contractors
