Senior Manager, Business Transformation Office (BTO)

What you become part of:

The Business Transformation Office (BTO), formerly the Integration Management Office, is CCEP’s central Centre of Excellence of Transformation / Project Management and Strategic Competitiveness. After successfully co-ordinating the Integration, through relentless tracking, drumbeating, and reporting ~2,500 Integration initiatives, the BTO is now focusing on coordinating air traffic control of transformational and integrational initiatives, driving the transformation strategy, providing project management expertise to key cross-BU/cross-Function projects and leading the development of Project Management capabilities and Agile ways of working across the organisation with the CCEP Project Management Framework. All members of the team work as part of a resource ‘pool’ and will usually focus on one or more areas or projects. 

What to expect:

1. Co-ordination / facilitation, business analysis and strategic planning

Regularly ‘bird’s eye view’ of all transformation activities in CCEP to the ELT in terms of overview, interdependencies, risks and key decision to be taken. Provide insight on how business operates to identify and realise improvement opportunities across business units and other functions.

2. Program & Project Management

Project Manager will be the most common role for BTO members and the methodology that needs to be followed is the CCEP Project Management Framework (PMF) for either Waterfall or Agile (Scrum).  Responsibilities include taking ownership of either the specific plans for a project (or set of projects) or the Masterplan, coordinating projects through interdependency management, setting milestones and deadlines accordingly to the overall dates and targets, tracking the programme/project team and the organisation are moving in due timings towards the committed results (savings, headcount and CAPEX/Opex spend) as well as preparing reporting for Chief Strategy Officer, Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Provide Project Management Support through a comprehensive knowledge of CCEP’s project management methodology (PMF: Project Management Framework) for both traditional and Agile project methodologies. Key elements  are:

•             Ensure a robust project plan, identifying key activities and milestones, as well as core team members and interdependences.

•             Ensure communication across the organisation to gain alignment.

•             Ensure validation of key conclusions and action plans, as well as gain the buy in from the Senior Management

•             Lead Project closure and hand over to the functional area for a successful go live or BAU mode

Lead in developing and implementing complex project plans that have implications across the business and involve multiple stakeholders.

  • Design business processes to deliver successful outcomes. Assess effectiveness and performance. Identify opportunities for more efficient and sustainable processes.
  • Lead execution of project plans. Identify new and innovative ways to achieve required project outcomes. Push the organisation to make things happen On Time, On Budget and On Quality.

Any BTO resources can be assigned to any given project as Project Lead, Core Team Member or BTO Steward:

  • When in a Project Lead role, steer the project team to achieve expected results.
  • When participating as a core team member, contribute with their knowledge as SME (Subject Matter Expert)
  • When acting as BTO Steward, be accountable for project management, including planning, interdependency management, flagging risks, pursuing key decisions to make or validate, as well as following them up accordingly until project completion. All those activities are driven in order to steer the team towards successful capture of savings and timely implementation of the new operating framework.

Where needed, Subject Matter Expertise will be related to key cross organisation processes like for instance but not limited to:

  • Business process analysis (Record to Report, Market to Order, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Make to Demand, …)
  • Operating Excellence
  • Value Management (Finance)
  • Change Management (including Communication)
  • Strategy

3. Change Management

- Ensure change objectives are strategically accurate and properly aligned, as well as included in the case for change.

- Able to co-develop a change communications strategy/plan and influence buy-in from senior stakeholders, as well as overseeing effective execution.

4. Value Management

Work closely with Finance to track financials and KPIs (e.g. savings, Headcount and CAPEX/Opex spend)

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 – 10 years previous experience of project- and programmemanagement, including complex and large projects / programmes)
  • Preference for agency or consultancy background (ideally with FMCG experience)
  • High level of strategic conceptualization on wide range of business topics
  • Strong analytic skills – able to process and connect high volume, highly complex data
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders (including C-suite level)
  • Knowledge / certification in different project management methods (waterfall and agile)
  • Able to read and understand key financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and FCF)
  • Able to effectively deal with difficult and challenging conversations
  • Have a positive approach to change / change management
  • Agile and flexible mindset - Able to work in a fast pace environment with high level of complexity
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team
  • High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
