7 Days Working Days Shift Based (Some flexibilty will be required depending on requirements) 

What to expect

To safely operate and maintain the site utilities and site infrastructure to ensure cost effective and continuity of supply within site performance and CRS targets.

You will be focussed on:

Site Utilities

Working alongside the Facilities and Utilities Manager and site Engineering team you will perform maintenance and corrective tasks as per the maintenance plan and work order schedule. Trouble shooting issues to either fix or escalate to site Facilities and Utilities Manager to ensure minimal impact on site performance and product quality.   You will also run and operate utilities to ensure continuity of supply at the correct quantity and quality.

 A key accountability of the role is the supervision of external contractors on site while they are performing maintenance tasks and checks.   This will involve ensuring all contractors follow the contractor control process to protect their and others safety on site.

 An additional requirement of this role is to be able to risk assess around the site utilities and facilities infrastructure to ensure there is no risk to products and people as well as completion of environmental checks as defined in the site environmental plan for utilities and facilities and to ensure we are KORE audit compliant.

What we expect of you

You will need to be a flexible and self-motivated individual that has a track record in contractor management. 

This role requires you to have strong technical skills and a good understanding and awareness of Site Utilities and Facilities operations.

The successful applicant will be a dual skilled, time served Engineer with electrical / automation preference and hold an engineering based NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a minimum of ONC or BTEC National Diploma in electrical/mechanical engineering.  You will have strong experience within a manufacturing environment and have proven diagnostic, problem solving and maintenance skills and mind-set for continuous improvement.

Automation and PLC skills would be preferred in Siemens S7, Allen Bradley Control Logix and / or Allen Bradley SLC.  Process control experience would also be an advantage.

The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated individual who can work with and technically lead a team to achieve joint goals and targets. An enquiring self-developing mind is essential, and the individual needs to be able to make decisions based upon fact.

 It is important that you have a good understanding of H & S safety requirements as well as a utilities and asset care working knowledge within a FMCG environment.  It is important that you are methodical and organised with excellent communication skills.
