The Shared Services STP Treasury Professional will be responsible for processing payments through the banking systems and accurate and timely financial and management accounting information on Banking & Treasury activities to Coca-Cola European Partners. The position will also be tasked with driving and delivering STP service excellence to the business with an emphasis on customer service and continuous process improvement to further enhance the STP service level and effectiveness.
STP Set up
Works with STP team and all BUs to build positive, constructive relationships and works in partnership to drive an effective and smooth deployment of STP processes into the SSC when needed
Supports the transition team (where appropriate) to ensure the successful migration of all AP and wider STP in-scope activities to Shared Services.
Financial Services Delivery
Ensure that Coca-Cola European Partners policies are adhered to (e.g. approvals, financial guidelines, etc.)
Ensures financial statements are correct and in adherence with accounting principles and regulatory rules
Ensures that all the relevant bank accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
Ensures that all entries from bank accounts are appropriately posted where not covered elsewhere such as direct debit rejects and collections and bank charges
Promotes the use of efficient money transmission systems for receipts and payments.
Review cash balances and ensure that funds are banked in appropriate accounts to optimise efficiency and return on short term funds
Supports the weekly cash flows and cash forecast to ensure efficient cash management and sufficient funds for revenue items, capital budgets and major project plans
Ensures that processes meet business unit requirements in an automated and user-friendly manner
Develops and recommends action plans to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded
Supports the successful implementation of standard processes, evaluating end-to-end performance and inputting to necessary design or execution adjustments
Assures that the appropriate internal control environment and SOX compliance are maintained along with compliance to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Support Treasury Back office on Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Money Markets trade etc. confirmations
Execute Trade Settlements, ICO Netting, Board of Directors Payments, Dividend/Step plans payments etc.
Support Treasury Back office on opening balances and overdraft monitoring and reporting;
Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders in Corporate/EU and BU Finance team to drive understanding and support for STP and Shared Services generally;
• Accounting degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years Accounting and /or Treasury preferably in a SSC multi-national organization with Cash Management experience
• Strong understanding of Cash Accounting & Treasury processes
• Fluent in English. German would be considered as a strong advantage
• Ability to address or escalate complex issues within the Purchase to Pay area
• Strong ERP experience essential, preferably SAP
