Professional Credit Management Portugal
What will you do:
This role will be responsible for the Credit Management function in Portugal, overseeing the control and reduction of Debt and Risk in the country. The person will propose the necessary corrective actions and measures to achieve debt and risk objectives while ensuring compliance with CCEP's Risk Policy. Specifically, they will manage overdue debt in terms of both amount and aging, improve the Average Collection Period, control Bad Debts, and manage Risk.
Your responsibilities:
- Propose the annual Debt and Risk objectives for Portugal at the Market/Region level and drive the necessary actions and measures to achieve them;
- Ensure that Debt and Risk transactions, policies, systems, and procedures align with the Business Unit's short- and long-term business objectives while complying with regulations, accounting principles, and established standards;
- Monitor daily Debt and Risk objectives (defaults, overdue payments, charges), collaborating with both Front Office and the Commercial area;
- Prepare Monthly Debt and Risk Reports for Portugal, identifying and proposing measures for clients deviating from objectives;
- Drive initiatives and improvements in Credit Management processes and tools for Portugal;
- Manage the necessary credit insurance coverage to mitigate risk;
- Monitor and control SSC – Credit Management tasks for all markets, providing support when required;
- Calculate provisions for Insolvencies (Specific, IFRS9, Contracts, etc.) and submit them for accounting;
- Certify SOX controls;
- Assist External and Internal Audit teams and provide requested evidence (AM-OP-ML).
Skills to have:
- University Degree or Higher Education, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent Credit Manager or Accountant experience;
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Finance and/or Credit Management within the FMCG sector;
- Office tools domain, mainly Excel (mandatory) and PowerPoint;
- Credit Insurance Knowledge;
- Advanced Data Analysis ensuring reliability;
- Intermediate Reporting skills;
- Advanced Accounts Receivables knowledge;
- Knowledge in SAP Financial modules would be a preference;
- Problem solving and customer impact experience;
- Strong presentation and communication skills;
- Knowledge of Spanish and English (intermediate level).
