About your new role…
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Credit Allocations Officer is responsible for accurately identifying and applying all customer payments against open invoices in a timely manner. They will be expected to liaise with key stakeholders and customers to reconcile customer accounts and resolve any disputes. In this role they will actively promote and migrate customers to Neverfail’s preferred and most efficient payment options, reducing unidentified and unallocated payments.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure all unapplied payments are investigated and actioned within agreed SLA time frames: 1st contact/applied within 48hrs, 2nd contact/applied within 14 days, adherence to agreed standard notation in text field.
- Adherence to the delivery of KPIs in relation to the delivery of minimum transaction activity and comments against unapplied payments.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of Daily and Month end reporting.
- All end of month tasks to be completed accurately and to management timing requirements. e.g. AR Bank Reconciliation (incoming cash book), Neverfail GST tax claims, write offs for the period has been completed).
- Accountable for General Ledger management escalating write-off risks in a timely manner.
- Mercantile payment allocations and claim dispute management actioned within SLA.
- Payment Dispute management relating to online payment merchant and payment reconciliation escalating risk in a timely manner to senior leaders.
- Comply with processes and operating procedures and draw attention to issues that get in the way of process compliance.
- Proactively lead the business around investigation of queries/events to identify root cause concerns, with the aim of removing these concerns from business processes.
- Action UAT testing undertaken every quarter or as required.
Let’s talk about you!
- Working knowledge of inbound and outbound collection management practices, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG organisation.
- Proven ability to problem solve independently by applying a curious mindset to investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, organise and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide advise as required.
- Proven strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays a continuous improvement mindset to processes and tools, to enhance and drive value for the business.
- Undergraduate University degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics (F&O) prior system experience desired but not essential.
