Purpose of the role:
BU Supply Planning is part of the GB Planning Department which includes: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Scheduling and Deployment.
The core purpose of this role will be to align with the mid-term plan with the MTW team and ensure that the execution of the supply plan delivers the targeted service level, inventories and cost.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Associate Director, GB Supply Planning, the key responsibilities of the Supply Planning Manager are:
- Support the coordination of the detailed/short term plan ensuring the compliance with aligned planning parameters as well as taking the service/cost trade off decisions when there is a deviation.
- Responsible of aligning the short term plan with the mid term team and vice versa, including the alignment of commercialisation projects, planning parameters and sourcing decisions to deliver the optimal plan
- Monitor production/sales alerts daily to coordinate mitigation actions with schedulers and deployment planners
- Monitor and report on executional performance including service, cost and manufacturing performance, flowing root cause and action planning into the improved future plan
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team through the weekly S&OE routines, escalating risks and opportunities when needed
Skills & Essentials:
- Demonstrate a proven track record in supply chain planning domain
- Previous experience in production planning
- Previous experience in FMCG environment
- Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply
- Ability to see the bigger picture – Holistic view
- Continuously improves the performance in terms of total SC cost and customer service
- Excellence in Execution– The ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information.
- Strong attention to detail but keeping an E2E planning holistic view
- Interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
