Job Purpose

The Planning and Performance Management (PPM) Centre of Expertise (CoE) was set up in Sofia, Bulgaria in the summer of 2015.

The aim of the CoE is to support the business and be known internally as a value creator through outstanding service and financial expertise. There is a strong service-oriented culture to build and maintain the reputation of the CoE.

The Centre comprises of a team of analysts who perform controlling, reporting and analytical activities to support all business units, supervised by managers leading each of the business units and key reporting areas with focus on enabling effective decision support. The team is responsible for delivering timely and quality management reporting to support business decisions.

The CoE team comprises of various areas of expertise: Sales & Margin, FP&A and Group Reporting, Supply Chain and PPV, and Continuous Improvement, Projects, and Operational Excellence. The role of the Reporting & Business Planning & Controlling Manager provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience across number of reporting, controlling and analytical activities.

The Iberia Reporting & BP&C Manager will provide leadership and expertise for financial aspects related to the Iberia BU and Supply Chain Finance teams in the following areas:

•           Monthly Closing, Outlook and ABP processes

•           Ad-hoc analysis to support the BU and Supply Chain Finance teams, as well as other supporting functions (e.g. P&C,PAC) and third parties (external audit)

•           Maintaining the financial data in the IB SAP BW system on a regular and ad hoc basis and ensuring its accuracy and completeness

•           Creating new data queries and fields in the SAP BW system as per the needs of the business unit

•           CFIN, FMR and CDSP projects

The position has frequent interactions with BU BP&C and SC Finance heads to provide support and improve financial performance. The position will also provide support to FMR project with specific items related to Iberia. In addition, the manager will be in constant contact and collaboration with the rest of SSC teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis in Excel based on request from the stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner using various systems e.g. SAP BW
  • Provide Input for Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Closing process where applicable
  • Support the finance processes for the Iberian BU– month-end closing, forecast, weekly and daily reporting (where applicable)
  • Coordinate the submission of the monthly reporting within the BP&C team (incl. Supply Chain Finance)
  • Amend existing reports and create new reports through manipulation of data in Excel and/ or Power BI or using other system and tools
  • Refresh BWP cubes and maintain P&L queries
  • Collaborate with BPT in order to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the SAP BW data and its adherence to the SAP ECP system
  • Provide ad hoc reporting & analysis related to Business Planning & Controlling
  • Provide data and analytical input to support business planning initiatives and ongoing projects
  • Analyze data through reports and provide initial commentary on performance of the scope of responsibility

Experience required

  • Some experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with MS Office suite
  • Experience with SAP and BW

Language Capability & expert level

  • English – advanced level, Spanish – ideal, but not essential

Education & Qualifications required

  • Degree level education in Business Studies, Finance or Information Systems
  • Post-qualification degree (ACA-CIMA/ACMA/ACCA) – ideal, but not essential
