The role:

The Fleet Manager leads the strategic and operational management of the company’s fleet of vehicles. This role oversees the planning, performance and compliance of fleet operations across all regions, ensuring vehicles are available, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The Fleet Manager supervises the Fleet Coordinator(s), manages vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvement in fleet performance, safety, and cost efficiency.

A well-presented, highly personable and efficient candidate who can work independently in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
  • Qualification or certification in Fleet Management or Transport Logistics.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in fleet management or automotive operations.
  • Proven experience managing multi-regional teams and high-value vendor contracts.
  • Demonstrated success in cost control, compliance, and operational optimization.
  • Valid Class 6 Driver’s License.
  • Advance knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics and maintenance planning.
  • Strong understanding of fleet tracking systems, telematics, and data analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Fleet management software.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management and vendor relationship skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
