If you're driven, passionate and ambitious, the Instrumentation Technician position based in LAE is the ideal role for you.

The role:

This position is responsible for making sure that equipment is working properly, safely, and efficiently. As an instrumentation technician, you will test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices while supporting the Automation & Instrumentation Engineer.

Our desired candidate:

A well-presented, highly personable, and efficient candidate who can work independently in a challenging environment. The ideal candidate must meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Graduate Degree in a recognised institution in Applied Physics, Electrical or related engineering degree.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as instrumentation technician especially in a Manufacturing or Engineering Environment.
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, materials, equipment, and safe working practices involved in the operation, construction, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
  • Excellent English. Good planning skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CCA PNG’s core business and business process.
  • Strong communication skills and an awareness of operating in a multicultural, multinational work environment.
  • Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking.
  • Self-Initiative.
  • Technical hands-on experience.
  • Capable to use assembly drawings, P&ID’s and manuals to tune equipment for operation.
  • Capable to use electrical Hardware & logic PLC principles to solve equipment problems.
  • Technical hands-on experience & PMP.
  • Organized with a high ability to multitask and manage workloads.
  • Targets & results driven.
  • Pro-active with a win-win attitude.
