Job Purpose
As an OT Cyber Security Operator/Technician, you will play a vital role in protecting our production environments from cyber threats. Working in a dynamic, high-tech industrial setting, you will be responsible for implementing cybersecurity systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring the security and reliability of our OT infrastructure.
You’ll act as a local cybersecurity expert at the production sites of Ghent and Antwerp, collaborating closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to make sure critical systems run safely and efficiently — without interruption. Your proactive mindset and hands-on approach will directly contribute to the resilience, continuity, and innovation of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Maintain and protect electrical, automation, and industrial network systems from cyber threats.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity tools in alignment with the global OT Cyber Strategy.
- Ensure consistent execution of the OT Cybersecurity Hygiene Programme.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Monitor and improve OT network systems in terms of cybersecurity performance.
- Detect, report, and manage vulnerabilities and malicious activities in OT networks and infrastructure.
- Execute Cyber Incident Response Plans at the assigned site(s) and coordinate with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with corporate OT Security policies and risk frameworks.
- Report and maintain cybersecurity metrics and KPIs for your assigned site(s).
- Support the development and testing of Business Continuity Plans.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness across factory teams and support OT security training sessions.
- Build strong site-level relationships with stakeholders from Production, Maintenance, Central Supply Chain, and IT/OT teams.
- Contribute to the long-term evolution of the OT cybersecurity strategy.
Your Profile
Qualifications
- Technical diploma (electrician, robotics, mechatronics, etc.) or equivalent through experience.
- Additional IT network or cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cisco, etc.).
- University-level studies with a technical or IT orientation are a plus.
- Languages: Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch is required.
Experience
- Solid experience in automation technologies, ideally within the FMCG industry.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial cybersecurity, IT networking, and machine safety.
- Ability to guide and support on-site technicians and contractors in implementing cybersecurity best practices.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of measurement, control, and automation engineering.
- Familiarity with OT equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems.
- Strong grasp of TCP/IP, OSI model, ports, protocols, and system administration.
- Experience using vulnerability scanning tools, antivirus, and security platforms.
- Proficiency in MS Office and industrial data systems (acquisition, maintenance, archiving).

Our Antwerp site in Wilrijk employs around 450 people and is a key logistics and production hub. With five active production lines, it dispatches approximately 4,500 pallets per day on around 300 trucks, playing a vital role in meeting demand throughout Belgium and beyond.
