Payroll Officer

ABOUT YOUR ROLE
We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity in our payroll team and are looking for an experienced SAP payroll officer to join the team to support fortnightly and monthly payroll. You will report into the payroll manager and be responsible for the end-to-end management and processing of payroll for all EBA (Enterprise Bargaining Agreement), Fortnightly & Monthly paid employees, and delivering high-quality comprehensive payroll services within the regulatory framework.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Working as part of the team to ensure monthly & fortnightly payroll for up to 3000+ employees is accurate and on time.
- Full end-to-end payroll processing for various state
- Resolving payroll related payment queries
- Interpretation of Awards, EBA’s employment contracts for relevant state
- Monthly workplace giving deduction listings & payments.
- Process transactions in relation to superannuation & deductions accurately and on time
- Understanding and actioning manual payroll calculations and terminations
- Setup and maintenance of all payroll records for new starters, employee changes and terminations.
- Daily allocation of business requests /incidents per team’s allocated states
- Managing and allocation of external mailbox emails across the team
- Audit compliance & governance in relation to payroll payments & adjustments

You will be a highly self-motivated and organised individual looking to take your passion for payroll to the next level! You will have a proven ability to collaborate and communicate well across multiple teams and at different levels, as well as a strong continuous improvement and customer service mindset.
- Proven experience with Australian payroll, ideally within a high-volume and fast paced environment (circa 2500+ employees)
- Proven SAP Payroll system experience
- Knowledge of Success Factors and Kronos experience preferred.
- Excellent knowledge in application of Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong administration ability, attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with excel.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels in the organisation, with a strong focus on customer service.
