The Grinders Supply Chain Team is based in our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. Supply Chain compromises an array of function under its banner and the reach extends from procurement of both green beans & finished products to customer deliveries.
About your new role…
Due to incredible growth of our delicious brand, we have a wonderful opportunity to join our Grinders team in this role of Roasting & Production Coordinator, based at our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. It is a very exciting time to join our team as we continue to increase our market share.
As our Roasting & Production Coordinator you will across both the Roasting and Packing functions to support the execution of the Roasting Plan, Packing Plan, and Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
In roasting operations, the Roasting & Production Coordinator operates equipment at a technical level comparable to the Roaster and Master Roaster, ensuring each roast meets quality and consistency standards.
If a solid career path is what you are after, this role is strategically positioned for succession into senior roasting roles, as the Roasting & Production Coordinator also supports the Team Leader – Packing in leading Production Team Members to deliver the production schedule and resolve operational challenges.
Please note that this role also serves as a Fire Warden for the site, contributing to emergency preparedness and response.
A typical day would look like, but not be limited to:
- Operate roasting equipment to deliver the Roasting production schedule within required timelines.
- Supporting Packing Team Members across key packing lines (C1 & C4 – Whole Bean; C3 – Ground Coffee).
- Participate in operational reviews, shift handovers, and planning meetings to ensure alignment with manufacturing KPIs.
- Provide coverage and support across production roles, including Team Leader, Packing and Team Leader, Roasting and Raw Materials, during absences.
- Support Team Members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across packing lines.
- Role model safe behaviours and lead a proactive safety culture across the team
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

You will be a fit for this role if you bring:
- Experience operating high-speed manufacturing machinery, ideally in food and beverage.
- Coffee manufacturing experience highly regarded.
- SAP ECC proficiency and familiarity with PLC systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Availability to work weekday evening and/or Saturday day shifts as required.
