ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Customer Category Manager, you will play a critical integration role—championing the voice of the customer within our business and representing the voice of category to our customers. You will help shape the future direction of our categories by translating category- and environment-led strategies into practical, customer-centric plans that drive execution through our sales teams.

Leveraging insights from the Commercial Planning Cycle (CPC) and working closely with Commercial Strategy & Development stakeholders, as well as Channel and Sales stakeholders, you will ensure strategic alignment and executional excellence.

With a deep understanding of our Customers, the Channel and Shoppers, and their data, you will influence category growth through Joint Business Planning, Range Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and strategic initiatives—ensuring CCEP continues to play a leading role in delivering value and growth across our categories.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Commercial Development – Away From Home, this role is a fully embedded member of both the Commercial Development and Sales & Channel Planning teams. You will maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Channel GM, Channel Planning Manager, and Tier 1 Sales and Customer stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment.

You will drive strategic initiatives by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to co-author plans focused on Range, Space, Visibility, Activation, and Environment-led principles—ensuring our strategies are not only visionary but also executable and impactful in market.



WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Customer JBP and process facilitation

  • Partner and support Sales team through joint business planning process through ensuring use of the CCEP best in class framework and methodology, leveraging inputs from across the business, deep understanding of how to link category opportunities and customer strategic imperatives, through an engaging and collaborative process that informs and integrates with the customer.

Customer range reviews

  • Lead the customer range review process following the CCEP framework for best in class reviews. You will be responsible for the planning, briefing, customer specific analysis and insight creation, content delivery and co-author final recommendations and presentation ensuring category led thinking is at the core while achieving positive commercial outcomes for the category, customer and CCEP.
  • You will build the capability of the sales team around category and shopper strategy and ensure a strong connection is made back to the JBP and that recommendations are in service of the strategy and future category vision.
  • Work closely with the Range & Space Planning Manager on planogram recommendations and creation that unlocks the intended category and CCEP growth opportunity while maintaining practical executional and operational requirements.

Customer strategic initiatives

  • Enable and facilitate transition from where to play into actionable ‘How to Win’ customer/channel strategies with a pathway to in year execution, engaging, leading and influencing cross-functional project teams to timely delivery.

Customer Commercial implementation of plan

  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, ensure that voice of customer, informed forecasts and revenue projections supported with requirements for successful implementation feed into the stage gate process for internal sign off for NPD and key calendar initiatives.
  • Per cycle process and critical timelines, ensure the plan is matched with and aligned roadmap to implementation with customer.
  • Develop clearly articulated Range, Space, Visibility, Price & Operations (RSVPO) executional direction in collaboration with key stakeholders ensuring precision in execution in trade.

  • Degree qualified
  • Have considerable FMCG industry experience preferably with breadth across functions such as Category, Strategy, National Accounts, Field Sales or Commercial.
  • Proven track record leading strategic execution and high level of influence across team members
  • Understand FMCG industry best practices and be able to leverage learnings from other categories and markets.
  • Critical thinker with proven ability to form judgement
  • Commercially savvy with strong analytical background with experience analysing complex data from a range of different sources, drawing insights, and forming recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Be able to adopt a pragmatic approach to deliver category solutions.
  • Solution oriented with a growth mindset
  • Great communicator and highly developed interpersonal skills
