The Role
Due to internal promotion, we are delighted to be looking for our new Packaging Performance Manager to take the reins and continue to drive the successes in our Technical Packaging function!
Based at our Head Office in North Sydney, you will be playing a pivotal role in delivering packaging initiatives and optimisation projects across One Supply Chain at CCEP, collaborating across teams including customer supply chain, planning, procurement, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, and portfolio. This cross-functional engagement ensures seamless integration and alignment from concept to shelf, enabling efficient and high-quality execution of packaging optimisation projects.
What you’ll do!
As our Packaging Performance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering key initiatives across our Australian supply chain sites which are primarily focused on supporting and improving packaging line efficiency, end-to-end packaging performance, benchmarking best practice and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our packaging materials are optimized for best performance.
In addition, this role is the central contact for all customer-related packaging performance issues and ensuring our finished goods packaging is meeting customer requirements.
A typical day for you would look like, but not be limited to:
- Communicating and engaging with the wider CCEP Supply Chain community to share projects and outcomes which impact the wider business and deliver towards the One Supply Chain philosophy.
- Leading packaging-based initiatives which aim to deliver production line Mechanical Efficiency improvements and reduction in Unplanned Downtime (UpDT).
- Connecting and communicating with the frontline to understand the packaging material challenges and the related production equipment function.
- Managing and reviewing new and existing package format and pallet configuration for optimal performance on CCEP manufacturing lines, the One Supply Chain and to meet customer requirements.
- Building strong relationships with packaging material suppliers and facilitate knowledge sharing, troubleshooting and education of their packaging manufacturing processes for the purpose of improving and optimising packaging materials and their use on CCEP production lines.
- Providing support to national and state engineering and maintenance teams for the scoping, specification and commissioning of new packaging equipment capital projects.
- Contributing to the development of packaging specifications and future manufacturing capability initiatives by identifying and advising best practice for primary and secondary packaging materials, formats and processes.
- Providing consultancy into NPD project teams to ensure packaging designs meet production line best practice and customer requirements.

You and your team will be instrumental in supporting the successful delivery of all packaging and NPD projects across CCEP sites in Australia, ensuring alignment and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, whilst being committed to building strong relationships across our supply chain and supplier network, empowering change and supporting ownership at the front line.

We are looking for a highly effective communicator and one who influences and truly enjoys a front-facing role!
We are looking (at minimum) for the following:
Career Experience:
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and exceptionally strong stakeholder management across multiple levels of the organisation, both at site and corporate level.
- Minimum of 5 years in a packaging manager or related role within FMCG industry.
- Packaging manufacturing experience desired, with solid understanding of E2E supply chain operations.
- Exposure to project management and change management processes, including routines and frameworks
- Strong technical reporting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Skilled in identifying process-driven improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders to foster ownership and alignment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and applying lateral thinking to solve complex problems.
