The Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and commercially minded Channel Manager to lead the planning and execution of key commercial initiatives across our Away From Home channels. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Channel Leads and Commercial Development to ensure our Bar-Restaurant-Cafe and Off Premise environments deliver against both annual (ABP) and long‑range (LRP) goals across our portfolios.
You’ll bring together people, plans and performance; coordinating the full commercial planning cycle, driving commercialisation of initiatives, and ensuring alignment across Route‑to‑Market (RTM), capital, DME and Joint Business Plan frameworks.
This is a senior, strategic role shaping how our Alcohol environment performs today, and into the future. If you thrive in complex commercial environments, enjoy working cross‑functionally and love bringing structure to big, multi‑year programs, you’ll make a significant impact here.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute the “needle movers” for each sub‑segment, ensuring every initiative lands with clear, measurable BPM outcomes
- Own the in‑month performance rhythm for the Alcohol environment, shaping Demand Review inputs, steering BPM governance, surfacing risks and opportunities, and leading weekly trading forum
- Take charge of the end‑to‑end LRP/ABP process, define the framework, guide environment deep dives, and make sure we stay on track against our objectives
- Set up, prioritise and govern multiple project streams simultaneously, securing year‑one Alcohol returns while shaping the multi‑year roadmap and its key milestones
- Guide the channel through every step of the commercial planning cycle, ensuring Channel Leads hit all milestones and that the channel’s voice is strong and influential at every anchor point
- Partner with Commercial Development and Channel teams to build long‑term Joint Business Planning frameworks that lift customer value and align to environment ambitions
- Turn environment plans into clear annual and long‑range priorities, outlining investment needs and executional headroom to deliver ABP/LRP goals
- Collaborate with Category Strategy, Insights and R&MGM to shape future pack and portfolio requirements
- Own the RTM strategy for the Alcohol environment, building business cases and partnering with RTM to lift capability across face, voice and digital
- Lead the channel through the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP). You drive repeatable, scalable activation through Momentum and ensure every customer group is fully engaged
- Deliver the future equipment needs for the channel in line with LRP. You optimise performance, forecasting and stock‑on‑hand across all channel groups
- Co‑own key brand partner relationships, aligning plans, solving problems together, and unlocking mutual value
- Partner closely with Finance, Logistics and EQS to create transparency, solve challenges and deliver shared short‑ and long‑term wins
- Act as the senior commercial integrator for Alcohol, bringing together Channel Leads, Category, Finance, RTM, EQS and Field teams around priorities, trade‑offs and key milestones
- Co‑design the commercial sustainability runway across portfolio, equipment and DME investment
- Build a culture of growth and innovation. You lift capability, connect teams, and shape individual and team development plans
About You
- Strong experience across Category Management, Project Management, Marketing Activation or Brand Management
- Solid financial acumen and confidence working with reporting and performance rhythms
- Outstanding stakeholder influence and relationship leadership
- Ability to communicate with agility across different audiences
- Critical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and personal drive
- Tertiary qualifications in a commercial discipline
