Shift-based role on a rotating roster
Roster pattern operates over two weeks:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday
Shifts rotate between day and night patterns, with two weeks on day shift followed by two weeks on night shift. Typical shift times are 6:00am to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00am.
About the Role
As a Process Technician within PSD, you’ll be a key contributor to the manufacture and supply of plastic preforms and closures at our Eastern Creek site. Reporting to a Production Team Manager, you’ll ensure the efficient operation of injection moulding machines and associated equipment, supporting performance across safety, quality, cost and productivity.
This is a hands-on technical role where you’ll collaborate closely with production, maintenance, warehouse and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Working safely and complying with safety, quality and organisational standards
- Setting up, operating and troubleshooting injection moulding and ancillary equipment
- Monitoring production quality and implementing corrective actions to minimise defects and waste
- Completing set-ups, changeovers and quality control checks
- Ensuring equipment operates as intended and escalating issues when required
- Applying good manufacturing practices and housekeeping standards
- Using systems to investigate and resolve production issues autonomously
What We’re Looking For
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Experience in FMCG, packaging or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- Injection moulding experience desirable
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electronic equipment
- Comfortable working on rotating day and night shifts
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
