ABOUT THE GRINDERS COFFEE TEAM

The Grinders Supply Chain Team is based in our Roastery in Fairfield, Victoria. Supply Chain compromises an array of function under its banner and the reach extends from procurement of both green beans & finished products to customer deliveries.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As our Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll lead safety initiatives that create a safer, healthier workplace. You'll manage risk assessments, audits, compliance programs, and wellbeing initiatives across sites—while supporting injury prevention, return-to-work, and ISO certifications. With a strong focus on proactive safety leadership, you'll help embed HSE into our operations and drive continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Safety & Wellbeing Leadership

  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments of plant equipment and workflow, identify potential hazards, and develop relevant safe work procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations (ICAM), implement corrective actions, and manage injury prevention programs
  • Oversee wellbeing initiatives and support return-to-work processes
  • Ensure alignment with ISO45001 and industry standards
  • Stay current on safety legislation, trends, and best practices

Training & Capability

  • Deliver safety inductions and training programs
  • Coach leaders and teams on inspections, audits, and compliance
  • Conduct training needs analysis and develop safety training plans
  • Manage first aid, fire safety, and induction processes for all staff, contractors, and visitors

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead internal audits across sites and support ISO re-certification processes
  • Drive corrective actions from audits, investigations, and safety reviews
  • Maintain HSE records, documentation, and audit readiness

Sales & Commercial Integration

  • Embed safety practices into commercial operations
  • Partner with Sales teams to extend HSE coverage beyond site-specific roles

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU!

You’re a safety and wellbeing professional who’s passionate about creating healthier, safer workplaces. With solid WHS knowledge and a hands-on approach, you work well across teams to support compliance and drive positive change.

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (Diploma highly regarded)
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and audit processes
  • Clear communicator and confident safety leader
  • Great attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Clear communication and the confidence to engage across all levels
  • A team-focused, proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • A genuine care for people and their wellbeing 
  • First Aid or Fire Safety certifications desirable
