The Opportunity

Are you passionate about quality, food safety and continuous improvement? Do you enjoy solving problems, influencing outcomes and working closely with operational teams to make a real impact?

We're looking for a Quality Specialist to join the team at Grinders Coffee in Fairfield on a permanent full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting and enhancing the quality of one of Australia's most recognised coffee brands. Working at the heart of our manufacturing operation, you'll drive quality excellence, support food safety programs, lead investigations and partner with stakeholders across Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to continuously improve performance.

No two days will look the same. Whether you're troubleshooting quality issues on the production floor, supporting product innovation, leading audits or implementing process improvements, you'll be a trusted subject matter expert helping ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards.

If you're looking for a role where you can influence change, build capability and make a visible contribution to business performance, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

  • Champion the quality agenda across the Fairfield manufacturing site, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and business requirements.
  • Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate quality incidents, non-conformances and customer complaints, leading robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Coach and support site teams in quality systems, GMP standards and best-practice manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct internal audits and support certification and customer audit activities.
  • Analyse quality and environmental performance data, identify trends and proactively drive improvement opportunities.
  • Support New Product Development and innovation projects, ensuring quality requirements are embedded from implementation through to launch.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of quality management systems, procedures and food safety programs.

About You

You'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building strong relationships across the business. You're equally comfortable analysing data, investigating issues and rolling up your sleeves to support operations on the floor.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience in Quality Assurance within FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environments.
  • A tertiary qualification in a Science-related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, GMP and food safety principles.
  • Experience supporting or leading audit activities, with HACCP certification highly regarded.
  • A proven ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset, high attention to detail and a genuine passion for continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • Work with one of the world's most recognisable brands.
  • Generous monthly product allowance and discounted staff purchases.
  • Access to 700+ discounts through our Cheers Rewards & Recognition platform.
  • Learning, development and career opportunities across our Australian and global network.
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan.
  • Paid parental leave, purchased leave options and Employee Assistance Program.
  • A people-first culture that celebrates success, inclusion and community impact.
  • Performance-based incentive opportunities that reward individual contribution and business success.

Ready to Make Magic Happen?

If you're passionate about microbiology, quality and food safety, and you're looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
