The overview

You’ll have an important and highly varied role to play at your CCEP site. When a production line or machinery breaks down, you’ll react fast and use your technical knowledge to solve the problem. When everything’s working well, you’ll carry out checks, risk assessments and inspections to pre-empt any issues.

Success profile

Working as part of our Production Team, you will report to the Production Manager on site and will be required to safely operate and maintain machinery and production lines. This will include all aspects of canning, glass and bottle lines to ensure the highest quality of production of all Coca-Cola beverages. A willingness to work 12-hour shifts covering days and nights is also expected.

Operator Technician – Edmonton (5 months FTC)

4 on 4 off shifts rotating days and nights. 

What you become part of:

Edmonton Operations produce 50 million cases of drinks per year across their 7 manufacturing lines. The site can produce up to 142,000 litres of drink every hour consisting of both PET and Glass bottling. Edomonton is the only site in GB to produce our Oasis Drinks. There are over 200 people across Manufacturing, QESH and Engineering, experience here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Edmonton and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.

What to expect:

You will  be part of a team of 15 to 20 shift based individuals both operators and engineers and will report into a Production Team Leader. The team will work  to safely  maintain  and operate beverage production lines.

 Key responsibilities will include:

  • Use of our SAP based Planned Maintenance System to carry out and record Planned Maintenance activities and findings
  • Use of network based systems to carry out and record quality checks ( this requires the use of on screen systems and interrogation of HMI’s together with some visual checks and measurements)
  • Use our SAP based materials systems to order materials based on plans and use for materials in the production process.
  • Use of basic root cause analysis  tools  to identify ,diagnose and escalate  equipment and process related failures
  • Support shift based and day based Engineering teams  to improve line reliability and identify improvement opportunities
  • Adherence to  Food Safety and Health And Safety Regulations relevant on site and to the wider business and community
  • Maintain and improve individual skills and knowledge through the use of core training opportunities provided by the business and through the use of the inhouse  Academy System.

Skills & Essentials:

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to absorb information
  • A good level of numerical, practical and mechanical skills 
  • Ability to work to demanding timescales  and customer service requirements 
  • Able to work as part of a larger group of operatives and engineers
  • Adaptable with a flexible approach to tasks and activity which fit with the needs of the business
