Job Purpose
The People & Culture team has an exciting opportunity for a Professional Instructional Design.
The role will support the design, development and maintenance of high quality online learning content for a rapidly growing portfolio of modules in the Academy, working closely with the Manager Instructional Design, SME’s and Capability leads.
Candidates should have knowledge and ideally practical experience of the design and development cycle of training and/or online learning using the ADDIE approach. They will need to be quality oriented, have a good eye for design and customer facing and consultancy skills.
The role will report into the Manager Instructional Design, focused enterprise wide.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and edit existing online modules to ensure they are current, up-to-date and in line with the brand and design guidelines, and that they reflect feedback received
• Work collaboratively with the Manager Instructional Design to ensure all materials adhere to guidelines and are thoroughly tested and accessed via appropriate devices
• Utilise rapid development best practice to create visually engaging and appropriate online learning interventions
• Create and edit content (visuals, audio, video) from scripts and storyboards, by applying design principles and best practice
• Undertake project work as identified & support enterprise wide initiatives as required
• Stay current with latest learning theories, instructional design approaches, trends and technologies
• Undertake comprehensive testing and quality assurance of online modules prior to launch
• Understand the review cycle of content development and be receptive to constructive feedback that results in changing the content presented in the review session
• Maintain and update the Instructional Design media library, ensuring content is current and up-to-date

Experience required
• A personal passion for an engaging learner experience is essential for this role
• Experience in delivering training design, with knowledge of learning theories and instructional design principles
• Experience in using (or willingness to learn) authoring tools: Articulate 360, Elucidat, PageTiger
• Experience in using (or willingness to learn) creative packages for graphics (Photoshop) and animation (GoAnimate)
• Ability to project manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines and to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
• Self-motivated & the drive to influence others in order to execute plans / activities
• Ability to quality-check own work
• Experience working with SCORM and learning management systems considered a plus
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
