Job Purpose

We are now looking for a Senior Analyst, Commercial Reporting, to join our Group Reporting Team. Reporting to the Group Associate Director, this role will be responsible for fostering harmonized processes and cross-functional collaboration, promoting expertise, and identifying opportunities for increasing value delivery within the data and insights domain.  This role will play a crucial role in driving collaboration, aligning strategies with central teams, and ensuring the efficient utilisation of data and insights across the organization.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical & technical skills, as well as commercial curiosity with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Team and performance management:

  • One Commercial Reporting: Manage the different aspect and products being developed from the OCR (with main area of focus Nielsen and other 3rd party data providers) team to ensure it meets the requirements in terms of quality, content, accuracy and time of delivery. Manage and schedule output in relation to new demand and projects;
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in data and insights generation. Serve as a resource to the team, providing guidance and support in complex data-related projects and initiatives. Guide the team in specific area of expertise of Commercial.
  • Identify Opportunities: Proactively identify opportunities for leveraging data and insights to drive business growth, process improvements, and innovation across various departments. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives and department heads, to understand their business objectives and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data within the organization. Collaborate with data governance & data ops teams to establish and maintain data quality standards and processes.
  • Prepare and distribute reports using primarily BI tools (e.g. Power BI) and occasionally MS Excel based on request from the stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Amend existing reports and build new reports through manipulation of data using BI tools, VBA, MS Excel, or other systems (eg. direct SQL connection to the data lake).

Experiencepreferred

  • 3-5 years’ relevant analytical and reporting experience in a dynamic environment like a multinational organization or a Shared Services Centre
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies, statistical techniques, and data visualization tools.

Qualifications required

Degree level education in Business Studies, Finance or Information Systems

Functional technical skills required

  • MS Office Suite Skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint - Advanced
  • Salesforce (or other CRM tool) – Basic/Intermediate
  • Nielsen Discover, GTC, GFK, Kantar or any similar platform – Basic/Intermediate
  • ERP experience, preferably SAP – Basic/Intermediate
  • BI Tools – Power BI – Intermediate/Advanced
  • Database query experience in Databricks, Azure, SQL and/or Alteryx – Intermediate/Advanced
  • Understanding the sales processes and the route to market/FMCG specifics - Advanced
  • Understanding the commercial environment and needs of the business and relevant stakeholders - Advanced
  • Understanding of financial systems & processes – Basic/Intermediate
