With significant investment in people, technology and operational excellence, Wakefield offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a tangible impact on business performance. Collaboration, innovation and development are at the heart of our culture, creating an environment where individuals and teams can thrive.

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you'll play an important role in helping us maintain a safe, healthy and high-performing workplace. Working closely with operational teams and site leadership, you'll help drive compliance, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture where everyone takes ownership of safety.

This is a varied role that combines practical shop-floor engagement with analysis, auditing, training and project support. You'll work across the site, helping to ensure health and safety standards remain at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting compliance with legal, company and ISO requirements across the site.
  • Coordinating and supporting risk assessments, including task-based, COSHH, fire, DSEAR and contractor-related assessments.
  • Assisting with incident and accident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and effective preventative actions are implemented.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of site health and safety plans, campaigns and communications.
  • Coordinating safety audits, inspections and monitoring activities to ensure standards are maintained and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Working alongside stakeholders to support the safe introduction of new products, processes and projects.
  • Supporting occupational health and wellbeing programmes, including health surveillance activities where required.
  • Delivering and coordinating safety inductions and helping monitor training compliance across the site.
  • Producing reports, monitoring performance trends and providing insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Promoting positive safety behaviours and helping embed a strong safety culture through visible presence and engagement across site.
  • Ensuring availability of safety and first aid supplies across the site.

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact in one of CCEP's flagship manufacturing operations, helping to protect our people while supporting operational excellence and business performance.

  • Experience conducting or supporting health and safety risk assessments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyse information, identify risks and support effective problem-solving.
  • A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally food or beverage production.
  • Experience supporting accident and incident investigations.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting ISO management systems and audit programmes.
  • Understanding of occupational health and health surveillance processes.

If you're passionate about creating safer workplaces, enjoy working collaboratively and want to develop your career in a world-class manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
