The role:

The Mechanical Team Leader is responsible for planning and supervising mechanical maintenance activities, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, system inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and enhance operational performance.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical maintenance and overhauls
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
  • Lead continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Collaborate with production and QA teams
  • Promote safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards

 What You Bring

  • NATTB Mechanical Trades Certificate (required)
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • 2–3 years in industrial maintenance with leadership experience
  • Strong technical, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use digital tools
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergencies
