Customer Category Manager - Coles

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Customer Category Manager, you will hold a critical integration role that champions the voice of the retailer into the business and represents the voice of category into the retailer. The role will help shape the Category's future direction while ensuring that the aligned category-led vision transforms into pragmatic and actionable plans implemented with the sales team, marketing team and the retailer. 

In your first few weeks and months in this Customer Category Manager role, you can expect to:

  • Partner and support the sales team through joint business planning and process facilitation.
  • Lead the customer range review process following the CCEP framework for best-in-class reviews.
  • Be responsible for the planning, briefing, customer-specific analysis, insight creation, and content delivery.
  • Co-author final recommendations and presentations.
  • Work closely with the Customer Marketing Manager on a joint Category and Marketing plan

ABOUT YOU

To apply for this Customer Category Manager role, you will need:

  • The ability to take complex and vast sources of information and distil them into narratives that unify a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Degree qualification.
  • Have considerable FMCG industry experience preferably with breadth across functions such as Category, Strategy, National Accounts, Marketing, and/or Commercial.
  • Proven track record leading projects and high level of influence across team members.
  • Understand FMCG industry best practices and be able to leverage learnings from other categories, channels, and markets.
  • Creative and critical thinker with proven ability to form judgement.
  • Commercially savvy with strong analytical background with experience analysing complex data from a range of different sources, drawing insights, and forming recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Be able to adopt a pragmatic approach to deliver category solutions.
  • Problem solving and solution oriented with a growth mindset.
  • Great communicator and highly developed interpersonal skills.
