ABOUT YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Market Insights Manager to join our Commercial Insights team in North Sydney.

The commercial insights team purpose is to be the “insights engine” for the business. Translating data into actionable strategy, that delivers a competitive advantage, generating sustainable, profitable growth

Our team is the lead for category, customer, shopper, channel and competitor insights within CCEP. We are responsible for embedding a data-led, decision-making culture. Our ambition, therefore, is to ensure data and insights play a key role in all forms of decision making, from assisting with short-term tactical initiatives to guiding strategic, long-term objectives

Reporting to the GM Commercial Insights, the market insights manager is accountable for providing an in-depth understanding of our performance in the markets we operate in, in addition to an intimate knowledge of our competitors and our priority customers.

The market insights manager will alert the business when new trends are emerging, using a sound comprehension of the Australian market to understand what is driving growth and how CCEP can capitalise on these opportunities. They will specify “topics” that warrant further exploration and generate specific recommendations to the commercial team where possible, enabling them to reinforce a position of thought leadership with our customers.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a newly formed, strategically important business function. You will work alongside a high performing & ambitious team that will play a critical role in the success of CCEP.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Use CCEP’s suite of data assets to identify key themes driving market performance in Australia. Use insights generated from analysis of data to communicate the opportunity to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of our business wide category growth vision with our brand partners and customers. Market insights will play a key role in framing our strategic direction and establishing a data-led approach to identifying and prioritising key challenges and opportunities
  • Contribute to long-term planning decisions via combining relevant insights from our market, adjacent categories, emerging trends and other international markets
  • Leverage total system data, insight capability and expertise to strengthen our position of knowledge and competitive advantage with our sales teams and customers
  • Partner with the Category Management team to ensure any insights and recommendations are aligned, ensuring we have captured any relevant shopper and category knowledge.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU!

  • Degree qualified
  • Experience working with a broad set of market data; scan, customer, market read, etc.
  • Have considerable FMCG industry experience preferably with breadth across functions such as Category, Strategy, National Accounts or Field Sales. Strong preference for candidates with prior category management of category insights experience
  • Critical thinker with proven ability to form judgement 
  • Commercially savvy with strong analytical background. Experience analysing complex data from a range of different sources, drawing insights, and forming recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. The ability to articulate data-led recommendations in a clear, engaging manner
  • The ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet shared objectives
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, a natural ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
