PACKAGING PROJECT MANAGER

About your new role…

We have a wonderful opportunity to join our CCEP family in this role of Packaging Project Manager. This exciting and varied role will utilise your effective collaboration skills in order to deliver and manage a pipeline of packaging related projects and initiatives. You will take the lead in ensuringthe coordination of design suitability, selection of current approved materials and cost effectiveness of current packaging material for new projects. 

The role provides packaging material information to internal and external stakeholders and adds value to Packaging Operations through management of new pack development process.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver and manage pipeline of packaging-related initiatives with key stakeholders
  • Work with suppliers and procurement teams on prioritisation of opportunities according to business priorities and commitments
  • Communicate and champion activities and developments in the area of packaging and manufacturing
  • Support cost improvement of existing products and manufacturing processes, NPD projects, packaging rationalisation and packaging sustainability projects.
  • Review packaging capability of the organisation to deliver new products and initiatives.
  • Support project capital scoping and risk assessment as the project progresses through the gate process.
  • Liaise with packaging suppliers to organise packaging dielines for new products while ensuring the design is in line with NPC/Portfolio as well as Supply Chain requirements.
  • Assist NPC/Portfolio and Brand teams with packaging design tables to ensure minimal or no impact of the packaging change on the manufacturing processes.
  • Support packaging trials prior to and during the trial production run, gather feedback and if required, in cooperation with the relevant internal and external teams, seek and organise solutions to any arising issues to ensure effective and beneficial transition.
  • Review of trial report as collated by site and communicate the trial outcome to the wider business. Provide final approval of the trial material and/or structural design of the package.
  • Create and organise training related to packaging materials for the site teams nationally.

Let’s talk about you!

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Product Development, Food Science, Packaging Technology or related discipline
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of packaging in a manufacturing environment, ideally in FMCG or Healthcare.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to connect with stakeholders from front line operators to executive team, from Sales to Supply Chain.
  • Ability to coach others and build knowledge in various teams.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to help drive improvement and growth.
  • Understanding of cost-management and manufacturing best practices, with drive for superior results.
