We have a great opportunity to join our fun and supportive P&C team in this role of Payroll Officer.

As a valued member of our team, you will be primarily responsible for the end-to-end management and processing of payroll for all EBA and Fortnightly & Monthly paid employees and delivery of high-quality comprehensive payroll services, ensuring that salaries and expenses are paid within the regulatory framework.

This role is based at our Northmead office, with free onsite parking, café, and also offers the flexibility you desire allowing you to work from home on Thursday’s and Friday’s.

What will you be doing?

  • Working as part of the team to ensure monthly & fortnightly payroll for up to 3000+ employees is accurate and on time.
  • Full end-to-end payroll processing for various states
  • Resolving payroll related payment queries
  • Interpretation of Awards, EBA’s employment contracts for relevant state
  • Monthly workplace giving deduction listings & payments.
  • Process transactions in relation to superannuation & deductions accurately and on time
  • Understanding and actioning manual payroll calculations and terminations
  • Setup and maintenance of all payroll records for new starters, employee changes and terminations.
  • Daily allocation of business requests /incidents per team’s allocated states
  • Managing and allocation of external mailbox emails across the team
  • Audit compliance & governance in relation to payroll payments & adjustments

Let’s talk about you…

  • Australian payroll knowledge & experience, within a high-volume & fast paced environment (2500+ employees)
  • Experience with SAP Payroll systems is essential (Success Factors and Kronos experience preferred but not essential)
  • Systems Used: Success Factors, Kronos, SAP & Service Now
  • Excellent knowledge in application of Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Strong administration ability, attention to detail and time management
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills is a must.
  • Excellent ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels in the organisation, strong focus on customer service.
