PACKAGING SUSTAINABILITY LEAD

About your new role…

We have a wonderful opportunity to join CCEP in this role of Packaging Sustainability Lead where you will play a pivotal part in our National Packaging Team.

This role maintains the Packaging Specification Database in coordination with the Central team, the AU business and operations teams. Through this knowledge and being a key user, the role will also deliver training across the AU business as required. In addition, the role is responsible for the development, maintenance and project execution and communication of select projects within the packaging sustainability pipeline. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver and manage a pipeline of packaging sustainability related initiatives with key stakeholders.
  • Champion and superuser for packaging database, responsible for maintenance and training for end users.
  • Work with Master Data, Procurement, PACS and Manufacturing to facilitate use of the System for functional and business requirements.
  • Assist NPC/Portfolio and Brand teams with packaging design tables to ensure minimal or no impact of the packaging change on the manufacturing processes.
  • Design trials for new packaging materials and prepare and communicate trial and validation protocols to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide Weights & Cubes specifications as requested for any new product or liquid or pack configuration or material change.
  • Actively work with the Packaging Performance Manager through packaging optimisation projects and their alignment with packaging changes related to new product development.
  • Create and organise training related to packaging materials for the site teams nationally.

Let’s talk about you!

  • An understanding of manufacturing / supply chain or sustainability, preferably backed up with industry experience.
  • Ability to communicate and connect with multiple business functions and coach and educate on the strategies and priorities in sustainable packaging.
  • Strong system and process skills coupled with the ability to coach others.
  • Proven ability to influence and be an effective communicator and facilitator.
  • Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve.
  • Experience using Microsoft and SAP advantageous.
