Job Purpose:
The Manager, Mid-Term Finished Goods Planner is responsible for developing and implementing optimized supply plan considering customer demand and supply constraints. The role involves close cross-functional collaboration to meet customer demand, reduce inventory costs, minimize costs.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop by using our IBP Software and Optimizers 13-week supply plans on a weekly basis based on demand forecasts, inventory policies, and capacity constraints to ensure the timely availability of finished product to meet customer demand while minimizing costs
• Analyze requirements & capacity for production, warehousing, transportation as basis for the 18 months horizon supply plan for the assigned portfolio on a monthly basis
• Identify & analyze risks and opportunities incl. relevant drivers
• Develop options for supply issues resolution through cross-functional collaboration (shaping the decision for stakeholders)
• Develop & analyze potential supply plan scenarios incl. financial impact and optimize plans based on profitability measures/strategic & tactical choices
• Provide inputs and participate in the S&OP cycle
• Collaborate with Commercialization to ensure smooth and timely introduction of new products; manage phase-ins/outs and delisting of SKUs
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, order fill rates, logistics and write-off costs to assess the effectiveness of mid-term supply planning processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Review and maintain relevant parameters in the system
Key Stakeholders (internal functional areas with examples and external)
Internal: Manufacturing sites, Short-Term Planning, Demand Planning, Materials Planning, Deployment, Finance, Procurement, Commercialization, amongst others
External: Co-fillers/Copackers (Refresco/Konings,etc.), Strategic Partners (e.g. Monster, etc.)
Experience required
• Proven experience in supply planning, production planning, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing/FMCG environment
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, production, inventory management and financial drivers
• Proven experience in working in an International Western European Environment Experience preferred
• International exposure
• Proficiency in using SAP IBP or other advanced planning solutions (e.g. o9, BlueYonder, Kinaxis..), Excel (advanced level)
Qualifications required
• Masters’ degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field
Functional technical skills preferred (max 10, highlighting up to 5 as priority)
• Integrated end-to-end Supply Chain and Sales & Operations Planning processes – The impact and mutual effect of segmentation on customer service, inventories and optimization processes.
• Execution in Excellence – Expert in capacity and MRP planning. Understand how the product segmentation matrix is built up and understand the tactics resulted from the model
• Supply chain complexity: knowledge of plant capacities, priorities, distribution network, equipment, staffing, and processes, and an understanding of their interaction
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing process and production strategies, Inventory Management and Optimization, differentiated stock strategies and control, loss elimination
• Planning process management – The ability to improve the quality of the plans, by ensuring that the appropriate planning process is applied and the right tools are used. Ability to define and apply tactics from segmentation in planning
• Business Units dynamics – Understand market and supply complexity drivers
• Root Cause Analysis & Scenario Management
• Data Management

• Stakeholder Management: ability to build and sustain effective working relationship across multiple functions and sites, and challenge stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on interrogating data and producing detailed outputs looking at the bigger picture (e.g. identifying issues and scenarios, optimizing processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Decision-making, sense of responsibility & ownership: proven track-record of being able to work under pressure, capable of handling and prioritizing simultaneous responsibilities and deadlines with minimal guidance
• Agility, flexibility and proactivity to work in a fast-paced complex environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy but keeping an E2E planning holistic view
