ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE…

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant is responsible for the ownership and monitoring of all facets of the Neverfail financial reporting process ensuring accurate delivery of all statutory and regulatory reporting. You will oversee internal control implementations, ensure reporting compliance, and manage the transactional reporting process. Critical to your success, will be ensuring the appropriate controls and risk management processes deliver on the financial results for Neverfail and that financial close processes adhere to global CCEP finance requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Coordinate the transactional Neverfail month end activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting along with relevant supporting schedules, reconciliations, periodic management reporting, and month end reporting suites.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely recording of GL data through generating, reviewing and posting of automated and manual journals, as well as assessing impact on assigned financial accounts for Neverfail.
  • Oversee the general month end accruals and accurately obtain accrual information from various Neverfail Business Partners in a timely manner.
  • Record, reconcile and analyse intercompany accounting activities including intercompany payment, cash application, and period end close.
  • Coordinate, consolidate and report the financial position of CCEP as well as completing cost centre analysis as required.
  • Ensure that cash management and reporting is maintained and that all processes are within CCEP treasury guidelines.
  • Support the Head of Finance in the research and documentation of complex technical accounting issues (both measurement and disclosure issues) which will impact the Neverfail business and ensure issues are communicated and agreed by Finance and Business stakeholders.
  • Manage relationship with Shared Service team in Europe for intercompany items. investigating and constructively challenging CCEP and Neverfail colleagues on unusual items and keeping the broader Finance team updated as appropriate.
  • Facilitate the internal and external audit procedures on behalf of Neverfail Finance.  You will act as the key point of contact relation to all Internal and External auditors and CCEP Tax consultants in regards to the review of statutory accounts and reporting, as well as support the execution of recommended actions..
  • Acting as the Financial reporting champion, work with and support the Business Systems Manager and Business Analyst to address any MSD financial reporting deficiencies and/or data integrity issues.
  • As business subject matter expert, conduct periodic MSD system testing, liaising with BPT to resolve system issues as they arise.
  • Maintains accounting controls by owning the Neverfail chart of accounts and assisting in defining accounting policies and procedures, aligned to wider CCEP Accounting frameworks.
  • Provide timely and accurate input into annual budget process.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement within your wider remit to continually review and improve processes and tools to enhance the operational excellence of the team to drive value through the business.
  • Contribute to a high performing, collaborative and empowered team culture.
  • Support the Head of Finance in the delivery of finance owned and driven commercial initiatives.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU!

  • 5 + years' experience in a financial accounting role, with a strong understanding of Accounting, Finance and Reporting activities, ideally in an FMCG environment.
  • Works in ways that are efficient and effective. Considers people, task and process in all that we do. Uses own time and the time of others wisely. Understands how to get things done at CCEP and organises work and routines effectively.
  • Communicates effectively and assertively in high-risk situations to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues and build consensus.
  • Confident communicating with and managing the expectations of stakeholders.
  • Continuous improvements of processes and tools that enhance and drive value for the business.
  • Undergraduate University Degree in Finance, Accounting required.
  • Post graduate degree (CA/CFA/CPA) or working towards preferred.
  • SAP / Microsoft Dynamics (F&O) / Tableau experience; prior system experience desired but not essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint with Power BI experience desirable
