Merchandising Team Leader

Location: Manchester & Surrounding Areas

Contract type: Permanent 

Please note this role involves occasional Saturday working on a rota basis. 

What to expect:

  • In this role you will coach and develop individuals to achieve their individual annual targets while building and implementing team direction to drive results. You will complete and monitor performance appraisals, Performance development plans and Talent development reviews. 
  • You will set appropriate objectives for the team that will support delivery of targets and monitor and feedback on performance against objectives. You will continue to build and develop diverse teams focused on days in trade and recruitment, and create an environment that allows people to thrive in the role. 
  • You will support the wider Grocery team in tactical activities in line with national and regional direction ensuring that the National Compliance, IC/FC agenda and the successes achieved both within the Grocery channel teams and across the wider regional sales teams are effectively communicated.
  • You will drive adoption rates of use of tools which support the Field Sales teams to focus and prioritise their time in call. Effective resource utilisation to deliver key calendar moments unlocking local opportunities while collaborating with Sales Managers, Profs and 3rd party contacts.
