Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Progress toward or completion of professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIMA is an advantage
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, reporting, audit, or shared services finance operations.
- Minimum 2-3 years of people leadership or team management experience.
- Experience within a multinational organization, shared services environment, or Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
- Experience in IFRS reporting, statutory accounting, tax compliance, and audit management.
- Proven experience managing process transitions, process improvement initiatives, and stakeholder relationships.

YOUR ROLE
The Manager, Record to Report (RTR) Australia/New Zealand is accountable for leading the end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities supporting the Australia and New Zealand business units. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial close processes, external and statutory reporting, balance sheet integrity, tax compliance, and adherence to internal controls and audit requirements. The incumbent drives the transition and optimization of RTR activities within the Shared Services environment, promotes continuous process improvement, leverages technology to standardize and simplify operations, and leads a high-performing team to deliver efficient, compliant, and value-adding finance services. The role also serves as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives and maintain strong governance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the end-to-end Record to Report (RTR) activities for the Australia and New Zealand business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of deliverables
- Oversee period-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring financial results are completed in accordance with established timelines and reporting standards.
- Manage the preparation and review of external Group reporting schedules and reporting packages in compliance with IFRS and corporate reporting requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and local regulatory filings to ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, risk management requirements, and financial governance frameworks.
- Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests, providing documentation, and driving the timely closure of audit findings.
- Lead the transition of financial accounting activities into the Shared Services environment and ensure sustainable service delivery models are established.
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, standardization, automation, and process effectiveness.
- Leverage technology and digital solutions to simplify financial processes, improve reporting capabilities, and eliminate non-value-adding activities.
- Build strong relationships with business partners, finance teams, external auditors and other key stakeholders to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Lead, coach, develop, and manage team members by setting performance expectations, providing feedback, supporting career development, and making employment-related recommendations, including hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, and separation decisions in accordance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
