NPD Commercialisation Portfolio Manager

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the business expertise necessary to deliver the successful scoping, planning, influencing, development and test marketing of new products whilst also manage outgoing skus and own your portfolio Lifecyle of core range and processes for CCEP.

This is a dynamic and highly challenging role which requires strong thought leadership, influencing and collaboration as it scopes, partners in the testing of new processes and growth opportunities. You will possess strong business acumen and ideally have some experience in Supply Chain/Operational, Strategy, NPD, Sales, and have developed in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Your well-developed project management, decision making and influencing skills, as well as an ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and think outside the box will be called upon daily. Working with Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain teams, your ability to collaborate, engage, develop and leverage strong working relationships will be essential for success in this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Champion, Scope and Manage projects from idea to NPD launch to ensure new products are tested and launched as soon as possible - on time and on budget.  Opportunity areas include initiatives such as:
    • Partnering with CCSP marketing & technical resources
      • 70% of what we do is core NPD’s and Portfolio management of sku Lifecyle 
      • 20% of what we do is Transform (supported by Futureworks, Change Mgt Project Leaders, Strategic Project Leaders)
      • 10% of what we do is New Model / Other Revenue Streams e.g. PSD as income stream (ideation through to commercialisation into non beverage opportunity areas).
  • Project management to scope out manufacturing solution, primary and secondary packaging and co-packing capabilities, including location; cost & timing, consumer tests, trials and importation of allocated projects
  • Be the lead contact between Strategy, Supply, Marketing, Sales and Gatekeepers for all your portfolio
  • Proactively drive projects forward, ensuring launch is as early as possible and all barriers are addressed and managed through with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Organise project information/considerations to develop business cases with recommendations on how to proceed. Identifying and addressing barriers to success.  Project management Identifying key issues, alternatives and required next steps.
  • Work closely with Commercial teams and partners to ensure all NPD related costs (Logistics, Capex, Plate Costs, Write Offs, Line Trials) are managed to within allocated budget/approvals.
  • Analyse your whole portfolio and recommend ways forward to stop, amplify, pivot your projects, working closely with the category strategy and RGM’s teams will then create a proactive recommendation back to the business weather this is to support a brand/sales or supply chain initiative
  • Budget Management for line tests and trials
  • Timeline management (delivery as per agreements with key stakeholders).
  • Timely completion of business cases (CAPEX), stage gate documentations and other adhoc reports as required.
  • Effective integration of New Product projects into your portfolio and gate processes
  • Effective integration of Exiting skus for your portfolio and gate processes

  • Broad business background in Supply Chain and/or Operational, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Innovation
  • Some Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, Agile, Test marketing and NPD
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong Commercial Acumen.
  • Good analytical skills
  • An ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong Influencing and Collaboration skills – not afraid to challenge when required
  • Project Management experience
