Operator - Putaruru Fixed Term

Are you thirsty for a new opportunity? Our Putaruru plant is responsible for bottling the iconic Pump and Kiwi Blue spring water brands – and we’re looking for a new Operator to join us in a fixed term capacity.
Your Impact
You will be responsible for operating heavy manufacturing equipment in our busy production facility. Over time you will be trained in all of our equipment, including filling, capping, labelling, and packing machines. You’ll be required to check all finished products, logging the results into our quality database, and ensure all areas and surfaces are clean and sanitised.
Operating a forklift, you will move raw materials throughout the site to be ready for production – and, as we make a variety of different products, you’ll also need to carry out equipment changeovers – swapping out machine parts to enable the production of different size bottles.
This role is a fulltime role that works Monday – Thursday on a day and night shift rotating roster. You will work one week on day shift from 7am – 5pm and one week on night shift from 5pm – 3am. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to build a long and satisfying career, and full training will be provided.
About You
We’re looking for someone with tons of potential who can become multi-skilled across our site and wants to make bottling a career!
You are a reliable worker who is not afraid of hard work, and who enjoys working as part of a well-oiled team. Ideally, we’re looking for someone with excellent technical skills with machinery, tools, and systems. Perhaps you come from a plumbing or other trade background, or looking gain experience in a new field. Our equipment is complex, interesting, and moving towards more automation – so this is a place to learn from the ‘shop floor’ and be a part of some pretty cool innovation.
You’ll also need:
- A strong focus on H&S and awareness of safety hazards.
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
- Previous manufacturing experience is ideal but not required.
