What you’ll become part of

Wakefield brings together one of the largest soft drinks manufacturing sites in Europe with a high-volume, 24/7 distribution centre. It’s a fast-paced, large-scale operation where production, warehousing and logistics work closely together to keep millions of products moving each year.

With a collaborative, high-performing culture and a strong focus on continuous improvement, it’s an environment where you can build skills, gain broad experience across different areas of the operation, and access longer-term development opportunities both locally and across the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll develop the skills and flexibility to work across key warehouse activities, either within Goods In or distribution.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operating forklift trucks (full training provided)
  • Receiving, storing and organising stock within warehouse areas
  • Preparing and assembling orders ready for dispatch
  • Using SAP and warehouse management systems to track and manage stock
  • Stacking goods across different storage systems, including racking and block stack
  • Supporting stock accuracy, traceability and smooth vehicle movements
  • Carrying out basic quality checks and maintaining high housekeeping standards

Over time, you’ll build confidence across multiple tasks and gain a strong understanding of how the wider operation fits together.

What we’re looking for

We’re open to different backgrounds and experiences. What matters most is your mindset and approach. We’re looking for people who:

  • Take safety seriously and pay attention to detail
  • Are reliable and take ownership of their work
  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Are comfortable following processes and using systems
  • Are open to learning new skills and developing over time
  • Can be flexible with shift working, including days and nights

Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience can be helpful, but it isn’t essential.

Proactive Hiring Approach

Whilst we have vacancies available today, we are also looking ahead to future recruitment needs. Candidates who successfully meet the required benchmark at our assessment centre may be offered a current vacancy or retained within a talent pool for future opportunities.

This means that, should a suitable vacancy arise, successful candidates may be contacted and considered for the role without needing to submit a new application or attend a further assessment centre.
