Senior Manager Business Development Hot Beverages

Job Purpose

The Senior Manager Business Development is a critical commercial role leading the customer development of the Belux Hot beverages business, with a pivotal impact on topline growth and the ABP/LRP. 

You excel at developing strong relationships with our existing customers and building a new customer pipeline & relationships, you have a passion for negotiating and creating customer business plans, supporting and developing your team. You are a real team player and work together with a cross-functional team to deliver excellent results.

You will lead the commercial team and report to the Hot Beverages Director.

Key Responsibilities as a member of the Belux Coffee Management team

  1. Lead the commercial Costa Coffee Team in Belux
  2. Lead the customer development of the Hot beverages portfolio in Belux, defining and shaping the long-term vision and strategy for your customer portfolio in Belgium and Luxembourg as well as building a solid and sustainable customer base throughout the strategic environments
  3. Creating and implementing an LRP (Long Range Plan) and ABP (Annual Business Plan) to achieve the maximum growth potential for CCEP
  4. Managing your customer P&L. A profitable revenue growth of CCEP at your client base & new customers (business case & scenario building). You ensure that the financial objectives are met (follow-up and make corrective recommendations)
  5. Deliver the sales and financial targets
  6. Bringing complex negotiations to a good result, both substantively and relationally 
  7. Determine the right metrics and assure business, operations and service monitoring and course correction supported by performance reporting.
  8. Create an environment for the teams to be successful in coffee, including sales and negotiation tools, training and providing input for an efficient end-to-end process.
  9. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the plan.

Requirements

  • Commercial flair, pro-actively engaging with (global) account leads internally, and proven negotiation skills (tactics, creativity)
  • The ability to define, visualise and impactfully communicate a strategy
  • Financial acumen, ability to read the E2E P&L, take appropriate corrective measures and leverage this knowledge to flexibly improve offers to customers
  • The right leadership and empathic people manager skills, bringing the team to a higher level and assuring wellbeing in a fastmoving start-up context with a pressure on delivering projects and signing new deals.
  • Project management skills, bringing structure in the launch of COSTA
  • Proven stakeholder management & influencing skills internally to put coffee on the radar across departments and channels
  • Strong networking capabilities (internal & external)
  • Both experience in coffee (and the former At Work & institution) channel are an asset for being successful.
  • Action and operations driven with a can-do entrepreneurial mindset
  • Results-driven with an hunting spirit
  • Eager to have an impact and co-create the future on Coffee for Belux
  • Passionate to personally invest in coffee, equipment capabilities and business specifics
  • Excellent command in French & Dutch and good level in English as well
