The Role
CCEP Packaging Services Division (PSD) is the internal supplier of plastic primary packaging to the CCEP Australia and Pacific Island businesses. We manufacture and supply over 2.7 billion preforms and closures to CCEP bottling sites located across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, as well as external customers. The PSD team are integral to CCEP’s sustainability commitments, including its commitment of 7 out of 10 bottles made from recycled plastic. An amazing opportunity has emerged for a new PSD Putaway Operator to join our team. Reporting directly into the Production Team Manager, you will be a key player in the manufacture and supply of preforms and closures. The role of the Putaway Operator incorporates the operation of a high reach forklift, put away of finished goods, movement of raw materials, operation of machinery and supporting the production team. You will contribute to PSD’s success by delivering results across cost, efficiency and productivity measures & also interact with fellow production team members, the warehouse team, the maintenance team and the quality team.
Key Deliverables:
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Working safely with equipment
- Comply with safety, chain of responsibility, quality and organisation standards and escalates any breaches.
- Ensure inbound pallets are received from production into correct locations
- Handle raw material movements and supply raw materials as required
- Basic machine operation and trouble shooting
- Ensure equipment is operating as intended and escalated issues as required
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping around equipment
- General upkeep of work areas
- Autonomously utilise systems to investigate and trouble shoot issues
- Able to navigate and carry out basic tasks on logical systems
- Provide support to the production and warehouse teams
- Transfer technical knowledge on various piece of equipment and/or process as required
About You
We are looking for the following Skills & Experience
- Possess a strong safety focus
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
- Computer literate
- SAP knowledge desirable
- 2+ year experience with high reach forklifts
- 2+ year experience with warehousing / production experience in FMCG of a similar industry
- Hold a valid forklift license
