Channel Marketing Manager (Sydney)

The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Go to Market, this role is responsible for delivering best-in-class end-to-end marketing execution, bringing brand campaigns, customer initiatives, and joint business plans to life. You will partner with the Away From Home channel to design and deliver impactful marketing programs, while acting as the voice of the customer back into the business and to brand partners.
This is a parentlal leave cover until July 2027. It is based at our head office in North Sydney.
In a fast-paced environment, you will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and agencies to plan, execute, and optimise every stage of the shopper journey. Success in this role requires strong project management, commercial planning, budget ownership, and the ability to forecast and assess financial performance. You will also lead and develop a team of Customer Activation Managers within the channel.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders and channel general managers to shape and deliver joint customer business plans and guide investment decisions
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns in line with brand standards, working closely with agencies, legal teams, and customers
- Influence brand and category teams to deliver targeted plans, including new product launches and shopper marketing initiatives
- Contribute to the annual activation plan and manage the channel marketing calendar, including communicating changes
- Review and evaluate all key activities, including return on investment
- Support joint business planning, customer reviews, and key meetings with strong shopper and channel insights
- Manage and track the channel’s annual marketing budget
- Oversee key customer programs and coordinate stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Lead and develop a team of Customer Activation Managers for the Away From Home channel
About you
- Degree in marketing, business, commerce, or a related field (preferred)
- At least five years’ experience in trade or customer marketing within a fast-moving consumer goods or similar environment, including convenience and fuel retail
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Proven experience building customer and consumer promotions aligned to brand strategy
