The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of GTM this role responsible for delivering first class through the line (TTL) execution based on our brands’ exceptional ATL campaigns as well as customer initiatives and Joint business Plans. As a member of the Go to Market function, you will partner the AFH channel to develop and roll out marketing initiatives across the Away From Home (AFH) channel as well as be a key voice for your customer back into the business and to brand partners.
Working in a fast-paced environment, this role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and agency partners in the development, execution, and review of all aspects of activating the shopper path to purchase. Important to this outcome will be the project management of activity through commercial planning, managing activation budgets, and the ability to predict and evaluate financial outcomes of your plans. You will be accountable for the leadership and development of the Customer Activation Managers in this channel.
Key responsibilities
Partner with Senior Stakeholders and Channel General Managers to develop and execute joint customer business plans and guide decision making regarding activation investments leading to creative development and execution.
Initiate and create successful TTL campaigns leveraging brand stakeholder relationships, in line with best-in-class execution standards and brand guidelines partnering with external agencies, legal and retail decision makers
Influence brand and category stakeholders to create and execute targeted plans to introduce NPD and shopper marketing initiatives to the segment, channel and customer
Provide input into the annual activation plan on behalf of your channel team. Manage the IAP calendar for the channel including communication of any changes.
Conduct post implementation reviews of all key joint customer activities, including ROI.
Input into joint business planning process, customer reviews and other key customer meetings, where you will lend your shopper and channel insights to develop activations.
Maximize, manage, and track the twelve-month direct marketing expenditure (DME) budget for the channel.
Managing key customer programs including coordinating with all stakeholders to deliver the desired outcomes
Leadership of Customer Activation Managers for the Away from Home Channel
About you
A tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s) in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related field would be preferred but not essential
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in trade marketing in an FMCG or similar environment – must have experience in convenience and petroleum segments
Lateral thinker, problem solver and ability to work autonomously
Customer marketing experience and understanding of building consumer and trade promotions that aligns to brand strategy for retailer engagement
